[ They can feel awkward together. Emerald's almost certainly going to get jumpy from being unarmed at some point more than because it's a theme park. Neither of them really belongs here, but emerald would like to feel like she does for a day.
At the very least, she belongs beside Akashi, even if she's teasing his tiny horse. 🐎
[ Akashi is going to buy magic to make things big from a mysterious merchant who disappears most of the month in a world that gets freaky with donuts.
The attendant comes around to strap Emerald in with the belt because she hadn't even tried to herself because seriously this thing goes so slow......... ]
Just.. don't feed him anything or eat anything yourself without testing it first.
[ Emerald's face falls. This song is so annoying she wants to puke? What the hell is this, let her talk to Akashi, 0/10 worst ride it's not even fast enough to distract her... ]
[ adjalf oh no... he can tell just from the music alone that Emerald is displeased, and he's not sure what to do because he can't just ignore it?? So he gets down from his horse so he can go to her and then the attendant actually calls him out via loudspeaker.
"Sir! Please remain seated for the duration of the ride!"
And now everyone is looking at him??? But he just wants to go to Em and hold her hand because he doesn't want her to have a bad time!!!! ]
[ She looks surprised when he gets up, then shrinks a little when the loudspeaker goes off. Emerald... doesn't really like being noticed that much. Especially not called out. For all she is, she actually.. doesn't like getting in trouble at all. She quickly undoes the belt that's got her strapped to the lion and slips off, then runs for him and grabs his wrist, pulling him over to one of the ornate benches that are designed for tired parents to sit on while their kids ride on the animals. Once they're seated, she puts her hands together in an apologetic gesture toward the attendant and hopes that's the end of it. Please don't stop the ride because of them.............. ]
[ Akashi keeps his head low and inches close to her until the gap between them is no more. This is mortifying... he didn't mean to start a scene.......
This also happens to be the longest three minutes of his life. ]
[ Emerald thankfully doesn't stay mortified for quite as long. Mostly because there is hilarity in them hiding under her jacket on a children's ride. So about thirty seconds under the jacket, Emerald cracks a smile and sneaks a kiss to his cheek to try to comfort him. ]
[ He looks straight into Emerald's eyes after she kisses him like that. The realisation sets in that he really does love her. He's happy when he's with her and he's happy when she's happy. He would do anything for her.
He'll get into any kind of stupid situation and be fine with it as long as he's with her. ]
I love you, Emerald.
[ Akashi can't help but blurt it out again, even though they're on a children's ride and even though an annoying song is playing. ]
I know. You were willing to break the rules for me.
[ That's like the most romantic thing that he could possibly do, now that she's had a moment to recover from the mortification of being the center of getting busted. ]
I think this ride is made so parents can't hear their kids screaming more than couples, though.
Have you ever met a child? They scream all the time for no reason.
[ She shakes her head. ] Nevermind. I'm just saying it's loud. I like quiet better, like this.
[ Hiding under her jacket speaking quietly with Akashi because it acts almost as a bit of a sound barrier and she can only hear him.. it's probably weird, but she likes it. ]
[ When the ride comes to a halt, Akashi is first to get up. He pulls Emerald and rushes out so they can get out of there and everyone can forget about Akashi. ]

Not for long... He'll be back to normal soon.

[ She reaches over to pat the carousel horse to tell Akashi to sit. Or ask him anyway. Whatever he interprets seat patting as. ]

[ Yukimaru's gonna be back to normal!! Akashi's going to be so happy ;; And yes, he does sit down on the horse. As if he'd pick any other mount. ]

[ Something out of Alice in Wonderland. ]
What would you do?
no subject
[ cut a bitch until he tells her how to fix him
that's not the response Akashi wants
what is she supposed to do in a situation like that? ]
Pass.
[ Smooth. ]

[ He looks over his shoulder to look at her while the ride begins. ]
What's that supposed to mean?
[ SUDDENLY, MUSIC. He can barely hear himself as he continues. ]

It's a bit of a walk though.
