Yeah, people are terrible. And those are legal establishments. [ Once they're by the street she cocks her hip and holds her hand out to emphasize her point. ] You can get just about anything you want for the right price from the right fence.

[ She knows all about crime, so she can keep him safe from it.. ]

[ Akashi doesn't say much about that, merely humming in response because he at least has an idea that that's how the world works. The taxi thing blew his mind, though. ]

Is the cab near?

Right there at the stop light.

[ She points to a blue hover car. Once the light changes, they pull up to the curb next to Akashi and Emerald. ]

[ Akashi opens the door for Emerald once the cab is there. He'll let her in first before he follows, and he sits by the window. Maybe he's a little tense because what if the cab ride isn't safe?? It should be ok right?????? ]

[ Emerald gets in and leans on Akashi as soon as he's in. She doesn't put a seatbelt on.

She notices he's tense almost right away. So she holds up get device and shows him the car location on the map. ]

See? The company that books the ride tracks my device until we're out of the car. If something happens, I can press the power button three times fast and it'll call the moon knights. Which will be your job because if we don't go where we're supposed to I'm still the scariest person in this car.

[ She doesn't elaborate on that, but she's pretty sure it's true. So no need to be tense. ]

[ It actually looks like a pretty intricate app, so he takes her device and looks at it, detail per detail.

Eventually, he finds the FAQ and starts going through it.

This is what he'll be engrossed with the entire cab ride unless Emerald doesn't do something about it. ]

[ As he gets more interested in the FAQ, Emerald wants to see what she can get away with. He's not even nagging her about the seatbelt.

And so, with her semblance to block him from spotting her until she's past the third button and use her very light fingers to undo his shirt buttons. She's not doing anything, just being mischievous. ]

[ He doesn't see it, but he does feel something that he lifts a hand to scratch something on his chest. Except he bumps into Emerald's hand, which makes him look down at his shirt, and then at her. ]

What are you doing?

[ Why is she being weird... ah, wait, it's because it's Sanguis, isn't it? ]

[ Wow!! Okay it's making things worse but she does just want him, honestly. But messing with him is all her. ]

Hmmm... Sneak preview?

[ She offers, a question in her voice as if she's trying to come up with an excuse. ]

It's our first date and you're paying more attention to my phone than me, so I'm going to do whatever I want.

Oh, I hadn't realised.

[ He doesn't mean to ignore her!! He lowers her hands and gives her back her device. ]

But you're also exposing me to the driver.

[ His eyes flicker to the man in front, who happens to meet eye contact with Akashi from the rearview mirror. Awkward. ]

I'm not opening your shirt or touching. He's not seeing anything weird.

[ She takes her phone back and sits up straight, stopping touching him so he doesn't feel weird. She just wants to mess with him so bad right now... ]

You can read it tonight after we wind down if you want. I'll pull up the terms of service for you, too.

[ She sure didn't read them but Akashi seems like... the type who would.. ]

[ Weird or not, the driver just looked at him funny and he's not comfortable with it!!! Though of course he doesn't say it out loud because he doesn't want the driver to get beaten up. ]

I don't have to. I was just curious how the service worked.

[ But with Em behaved now, he buttons up his shirt again. She can reset once they're in his apartment. ]

We should get back quicker compared to how long it took for us to get to the park. We're in a car now, after all.

You looked like you were really interested. I don't mind if it's later.

[ But she wants his attention right now and she wants to pin him to the seat of the car and ride him until--

Good, because the longer this takes the less time you're getting after we reach your door before I jump on you.

[ What if he's the one who pins her to the wall... you don't know that, Em!!! ]

Yeah. I've got a plan.

[ She's gonna pin him to the outside of the door, then open it while his back is to the door so he has to stumble back a little.

... Maybe that's a little fantasy-y in her head. ]

That's a little scary.

[ Em??? He doesn't know what to expect now... But he pulls her closer and gives her a squeeze to say that whatever she has planned is more than welcome. ]

Why is me having a plan scary!?

[ She thought he would be proud of her!! Not that she had a real plan anyway, just like. she wants to jump him. ]

Well... I don't know what to expect. I can see the future, but you're very unpredictable.

Hmmm. What future do you see for us then, huh?

[ The guy is turning onto their street, so she's mostly just teasing him since he's doing his 'see the future' bit and acting like she doesn't know what he means. ]

The immediate future? I'd be looking at you and memorising every inch of you.

[ Because he's never actually seen her naked in this context before. He looks out the window after saying that, eyes trained on Emerald's from the reflection. ]

In a broader sense, when I get my diploma, you'll be there to congratulate me and kiss me before we go on vacation to celebrate.

[ Little goals in life!! He wants to celebrate every triumph with her. ]

[ She smacks him in the arm, much more gently than normal, and laughs. ]

Who's making the driver uncomfortable now!

[ Stop talking about memorizing her in front of him! The car comes to a stop and she opens the door to get out, then runs over to open it for Akashi, like a proper gentlelady. ]

It sounds nice though.

Why did you open the door for me?

[ Em!! 😫😫😫 He wants to be your prince...

He transfers the necessary Demichroma to the driver and gets out, though. Then he takes Emerald's bag and then lifts her princess style. This is payback. 😌 ]

Let's go up.

[ This was not an expected development and it causes her to wrap her arms around his shoulders to hold on reflexively for a moment. Her cheeks are definitely going a little pink.

But also she can't do her plan this way?? She looks briefly concerned for a moment, just because she.. tends to fret when things don't go to plan (they're just usually not her plan, so that's new). She wiggles a little in his arms, then decides to try something new. ]

Okay, you can carry me but that just means I've got more time to get started early.

[ She shifts slightly to pull his shirt sleeve off to the side so she can put her mouth on his shoulder and suck on it. No teeth involved, she's careful about that, but she's 100% gonna give him a shoulder hickey!!! ]

Em—

[ He actually panics a little, stopping in his tracks and freezing up. Emerald's definitely caught him way off guard, and the discomfort he feels is at a maximum for a split second. But he doesn't feel any teeth, and he reminds himself that it's Emerald. It's okay... it's okay. ]

It's okay... [ He breathes out the words, whispering to himself. He's fine, and Emerald wouldn't do anything to hurt him. ]

I'm sorry—

[ That one's for Emerald, and he continues walking now to get on the elevator. ]

Still too close?

[ She went for his shoulder so that he wouldn't feel uncomfortable about his neck, but she stops almost immediately when he stops moving and rests her head on his shoulder instead, heedless of her own saliva. It came from her and they're going inside, who cares. ]
