I mean, sort of...you don't really want to do that with someone you don't like at all... [Ren's had this conversation before, with people who leaned a bit too hard on the "necessity" side of intimacy being a necessity here. It's kind of offputting if someone is either extremely not into you or extremely not into the process.]

But I mean more that this place has kind of a casual attitude towards it. So a lot of people are just fine with generating Chroma as they need without worrying about any serious feelings.

[In other words, most people aren't in relationships, and even most of the ones he's seen who are seem to be in open ones.]

[That explains it a bit more, and Ren gives a bit of a nod like that isn't the first time he's heard that from someone (even if it also looks like he's not entirely agreeing with it either).]

Right, if you're already in a relationship then that's the kind of thing you need to discuss between yourselves...you're definitely not the only one here in that kind of situation, though.

[It's not uncommon, though Ren knows a lot of people who seem to be in open relationships while they're here so they don't completely cut themselves off from the ability to produce large amounts of Chroma quickly if it's necessary.]

[Ren tilts his head a bit at that like he's not quite sure what she's referencing, then waves a hand.]

Oh, I wasn't in anything like that before I came here, so it's not really a problem for me. I came straight from my own world, too...it almost seems less confusing that way.

[Not having to worry about the rules of more than one world, or wonder which one you'd be returning to after leaving this one.]
