[ Akashi totally doesn't know Emerald's schedule or anything. (He does after much observation, lbr.) He's hired someone to wait by Emerald's door with a milkshake. It's in a red milkshake glass with a red straw and it's chocolate flavoured. When in doubt, go for chocolate or vanilla. Akashi felt that Emerald might like chocolate better.
The guy has been waiting for just about five minutes when Emerald returns, so the gift shouldn't be that watered down! The guy also doesn't say anything, merely handing it over without saying who it's from, before he leaves. B| ]

[ She's not sure which part of this annoys her more. The fact that he hired someone to stand there and hand her a milkshake instead of giving it himself or the fact that someone who hired someone to hand her a milkshake thinks of her as a friend. Or the fact that he seems to think he owns the color red so he doesn't have to actually state who he is. Or the fact that anyone seems to like her and she knows if he actually knew her, he'd change his mind and there wouldn't be any milkshakes anymore.
But she does like chocolate milkshakes, so he finally got one of his guesses about her right, and she's definitely not going to waste food.

[ It's been a tiring day, packing and all, and the carriage is just about to leave. All that it's waiting for is Akashi, but he said he just has something to do which is knock on Emerald's door to let her know that there's someone out there for her. He decides not to say goodbye personally, though, because it isn't goodbye and they'll see each other again. Akashi doesn't want things to be awkward between them, and it won't be unless it's Emerald who makes it awkward.

He hadn't flat-out cut her out of his life, but her own faith that he's going to come around and decide he actually wants someone like her in his life isn't high. He can't use her, doesn't trust her enough to, and he doesn't depend on her- he doesn't need her, so she doesn't expect much contact from him. It stings, but she accepts it a little too easily. Which is probably why it's so confusing when she opens the door to nearly step on a box with Akashi's tea set in it. She catches herself though, and takes it in before reading the note.

[ Akashi's just about getting ready for bed. He'd just finished washing up and brushing his teeth, and now he has a book in hand which he'll eventually read ten pages of before he sets it aside to close the lights and then finally sleep. It's a bit difficult to say who will message him and if it's for everybody or just for himself, which is why he tends to accept any and all telepathic messages. He's accommodating that way! It seems this message happens to be for him and him alone.

[ It was poison that almost killed Akashi when he went to Shaarnath, and having a near death experience like that has been etched in his mind. He didn’t die from that vampire bite, but it was still a terrible experience. This is a lot worse, and he decides not to leave his house for a few days after getting back from the hospital.
He wants to be safe no matter what, now. He doesn’t want any harm to befall him, and at this moment in time, he’s resolved not to join any more excursions or even take up self-defence even though the latter would benefit him a lot.
Once he decides he’s ready to leave the house again, a few days after the excursion, he sends a message to Emerald. He wants to see her. He needs to thank her properly. And maybe keep what happened between them... even though his housemates already know. He would prefer if Miu didn’t find out, amongst other friends. ]

[ Emerald has been worried about him, but she did everything she could and she figured he'd come find her when he was ready. It isn't as if there was anything she could do hanging around the hospital. She had to water her plant, do things. And not be around when Akashi woke up as a reminder of what happened, since she doesn't quite know what to think of how easy it is to scare him.
